For a long time now the most different forms of rubber lining have also been being used in
the pickling plants of steel works, storage tanks, regeneration tanks, piping and
fittings. In the lining of huge pickling tanks and their covers, which tanks can have
lengths of up to 130 m, it is a matter of providing protection not only against corrosion
but also against wear. Rubber linings are not only highly resistant to the chemical,
thermal and mechanical loading that arise in pickling plants but are also unaffected by
the fluctuations in temperature that arise.
Rubber linings have been being successfully employed to provide corrosion protection in
pickling plants for many decades.
